Moving HeARTs in the City
A 5-week roving art truck exhibition across Singapore, Moving HeARTs in the City showcased the artistic talents of inmates and ex-offenders and driving the community towards an inclusive society, beyond second chances.
Themed "Our Journey, Our Hope," the roving art exhibition showcased the remarkable talents of inmates and ex-offenders through 41 stunning artworks. From canvas paintings to pottery and mixed media, these pieces reflect the inmates’ and ex-offenders’ rehabilitation and reintegration journey, embodying hope and the quest for second chances.
Yellow Ribbon Prison Run
Since 2009, the Yellow Ribbon Prison Run has garnered strong support from the community through their participation and donations in support of reintegration programmes for ex-offenders and their families. This year, the Yellow Ribbon Prison Run will be happening on 1 Sep 2024 so mark your calendars now!
Register NowThe access to training in culinary skills, music literacy, the performing or visual arts, on top of mindset change, are integral to an ex-offender’s rehabilitation and reintegration back into society. Hence, Yellow Ribbon Singapore and the Singapore Prison Service collaborate with many like-minded stakeholders to enable this access. These efforts are celebrated at the following YRP signature events.
Yellow Ribbon Community Arts Festival
The Yellow Ribbon Community Arts Festival (formerly known as the Yellow Ribbon Community Art and Poetry Exhibition) provides opportunities for inmates and ex-offenders to showcase their artistic talents to the community through visual arts, poetry, music, culinary arts and the creation of handmade merchandises.

Songwriting Competition
The Yellow Ribbon Songwriting Competition is jointly organised with the Composers and Authors Society of Singapore (COMPASS).
Selected inmates go through structured coaching by industry professionals prior to the selection of song entries for the finals. Through the songs they compose, inmates can express their inner thoughts and feelings to their families and community.

Culinary Competition
Held in partnership with the Singapore Chefs’ Association (SCA), the Yellow Ribbon Culinary Competition showcases the culinary talents and vast potential of inmates exploring a career in the Food and Beverage (F&B) sector. Through the close mentorship and training given by chefs from the SCA, participants were able to hone their culinary skills and palette. This has helped them advance in their culinary careers and expanded their career prospects in the sector.

The Yellow Ribbon Awards is a national platform that recognises individuals, organisations and ex-offenders for their contributions towards championing second chances and building a more inclusive and cohesive Singapore.
